Coleshill STW

Aermech are pleased to have undertaken the mechanical and fine bubble aeration grid updates at Coleshill Sewage Treatment Works over two phases, on behalf of Air Technologies.

Phase 1: Our specialist services included the strip out and removal of an ineffective blower system located within an underground control room. Following this we mechanically reinstalled several new Aerzen blowers and bespoke connection pipework allowing us to utilise the original air-main.

Phase 2: During the second phase, Aermech was able to design a redirection of a 300mm diameter air-main pipework. This design allowed us to raise a current air-main onto walkway level to accommodate for future actuator valve maintenance before returning into a low-level position. We were able to accommodate for on-site fabrication to reduce the overall shutdown duration.

Whilst the pipe main alteration work was being completed our aeration team removed the original aeration system and installed a new fine bubble aeration grid.
